Tragedy Strikes: North Dakota State Senator and Family Killed in Utah Plane Crash
It is with great sadness that we report the death of a North Dakota state Senator, his wife, and two young children after a tragic plane crash in Utah. On Sunday night, authorities reported that a plane registered by North Dakota State Senator Greg Bruegger and his wife, Valerie, had crashed in a remote area of Utah. Their two children, 5-year-old daughter Kirsten and 3-year-old son Kaleb were also onboard at the time of the crash. There were no survivors.
The cause of the crash remains unknown and an investigation is ongoing to determine what happened. According to the San Juan County Sheriff, the crash site was located in a location not accessible by road. Family and friends of the Brueggers are in disbelief as this tragedy has left them all in a state of shock.
Greg Bruegger had served in the North Dakota Senate since 2009. Throughout his career, Bruegger was known for attacking poverty, standing up for rural small businesses, and protecting the elderly. He was also a major proponent of lifelong learning, believing that every person should have an opportunity for an education.
The loss of Senator Bruegger and his family has left many North Dakotans in mourning as their passing has left a hole in their hearts. A gofundme page has been established to help the Bruegger family in their time of grief. It is our hope that these donations will help ease their pain in this difficult time.
