Drilling Strike Unlocks 1.35 Kilometers of Near-Surface Copper-Tin-Silver Mineralization in La Romana
Pan Global Resources, Inc. has reported extended strike mineralization of La Romana, its 100% owned copper-tin-silver project located in Peru, up to 1.35 kilometers. The extension comes from ongoing drilling and exploration works, which have identified a new mineralized zone to the north-east of La Romana.
The new mineralized zone is along the west side of the known surving breccias in the main zone, ranging up to 1.35 kilometers in strike length. The strike length and depth of the mineralized zone now extends from 0.3 x 0.7 kilometers previously.
The new zone is hosted by breccia pipes, stockworks and quartz veins contained within a moderately to strongly sericite-altered and quartz-sericite mica schist. The surface footprint of the mineralized zone has increased by approximately 3.5 times and is open in all directions.
In the new availability, Pan Global has also successfully extended the coordination and angularity of veins, stringers and breccias with adjacent intrusive and vein outcrops in the western flank. This increased continuity plays a key role in the area’s overall ore potential.
The on-going drilling and exploration work is focused on increasing continuity within and between mineralized zones which are hosted by distinct geologic settings. The mineralization is open to expansion in all directions.
These extended results further highlight the potential of La Romana and support Pan Global’s decision to acquire a controlling interest in the project. Pan Global is now further exploring this unique copper-tin-silver project with plans to develop the project further. With ongoing exploration, Pan Global looks forward to discovering the potential of La Romana and to developing it into a world-class asset.
