The Western Bulldogs have made a major signing, with the son of an Australian cricketing legend joining their ranks. Eighteen-year-old Will Pucovski, son of former Test cricketer Michael Pucovski, has signed with the Bulldogs as a Category B rookie.
The young Pucovski has been playing football since he was a child, and has been a standout performer in the Victorian Amateur Football Association. He has also represented Victoria in the AFL Under 18 Championships, and was named in the All-Australian team in 2019.
The Bulldogs are thrilled to have secured the services of such a talented young player. Coach Luke Beveridge said, “Will is an exciting young talent who has the potential to be a great player for us. He has a great football brain and is a natural leader. We’re looking forward to seeing him develop and grow with us.”
Will Pucovski is the latest in a long line of talented sportsmen to come from the Pucovski family. His father Michael was a successful Test cricketer, and his uncle Paul was a professional footballer.
Will is looking forward to the challenge of playing AFL, and is determined to make the most of his opportunity. He said, “I’m really excited to be joining the Bulldogs. I’ve been playing football since I was a kid, and I’m looking forward to taking my game to the next level.”
The Western Bulldogs have made a great signing in Will Pucovski, and the young star is sure to make an impact in the AFL.
