An up-and-coming IndyCar star has emerged unscathed from a spectacular crash which destroyed a massive section of trackside catch fencing.

After a lap nine restart in the Indy Lights race at Road America, Christian Bogle was launched into the catch fencing after striking a kerb on the outside of the track.

The nose of the car was grabbed by the chain mesh, tearing down a large section of fencing and all of the support beams.
